Writer’s Block, Divorce, and Drama—Oh My! Let’s Catch Up

      · My Story Time
      broken image

Guys. Friends. Beloved readers. It has been a time. If my blog were a relationship, it would have left me by now for neglect, blocked me on all platforms, and written a thread about how I disappeared without explanation.

But before you judge me, let me explain. Life has been serving drama like a telenovela on steroids. First, I found myself in the trenches of a very tough divorce—harder than the marriage itself, if you can believe it.

Marriage was like, “Sign here, congratulations!” but divorce? Divorce is like, “Please provide a 500-page thesis, a blood sample, and the lost city of Atlantis before we even consider processing your paperwork.”

It has been exhausting, emotionally taxing, and just when I thought I was catching my breath—boom! I got hit by something I had only heard about in passing but never thought would happen to me… writer’s block.

Now, I always thought writer’s block was one of those fancy problems that happen to novelists locked in cabins, staring dramatically at a typewriter. Not me. I always had something to say. But for the past 8 days, it was like my creativity packed its bags and left, leaving only an out-of-office reply: “Zintle will not be available to produce content at this time. Please try again later.” It wasn’t that I didn’t have topics—I had plenty.

If anything, life was throwing blog-worthy content at me every day. But every time I tried to write, my brain was just... buffering. Like a Wi-Fi connection in rural Eastern Cape, the signal was there, but the loading took forever. And so, I sat in silence, waiting for the words to come back.

And then suddenly, today? BOOM! The groove is back! The words are flowing again like a river after heavy rains. Maybe it’s because I’ve finally made peace with the chaos, or maybe it’s just time.

Whatever it is, I woke up and felt it—the urge to write, to tell my stories, to reconnect with you, my dear readers, and spill all the things I’ve been hoarding in my heart.

The backlog is real, and trust me, I have so much to say.

So here I am, back and ready to shake things up. Buckle up, bangani. It’s about to get interesting.

Zintle the Blogger is back! 🎉
