Intertrans Movers: The Real MVPs of My Move to Durban.

      · Business-Economic And Entreprenuership
      Section image

Moving house is one of life's great adventures. It sits somewhere between "exciting new beginning" and "complete emotional breakdown over a missing kettle."

When I made the decision to relocate from Cape Town to Durban, I knew I had a lot to look forward to. What I didn't know was whether my furniture would arrive looking like furniture or modern art.

Like many people preparing for a long-distance move, I had visions of broken tables, lost boxes, mysterious scratches, and that one chair that somehow disappears into another dimension. Moving can be stressful. In fact, I am convinced that packing your entire life into boxes should qualify as an Olympic sport.

Fortunately for me, Intertrans Movers had other plans.

From the very beginning, the team made what could have been a stressful experience feel surprisingly smooth. Every phone call was met with professionalism, patience, and kindness. Every question was answered. Every concern was addressed.

A special thank you must go to Risha, whose calm and helpful approach made the process so much easier. There are people who simply do their jobs, and then there are people who make customers feel genuinely cared for. Risha falls into the second category.

Thank you also to Mr Rajesh and Mr Ronnie, whose professionalism and commitment to excellent service did not go unnoticed. Behind every successful move is a team of people coordinating logistics, managing schedules, solving problems, and making sure that everything reaches its destination safely. Their dedication was evident throughout the entire process.

And to the rest of the Intertrans family whose names I may not know, please know that your work is appreciated. From the people who packed and loaded to the drivers who travelled the long road between Cape Town and Durban, you played a part in helping me start a new chapter.

What impressed me most was not only the efficiency of the service but the care with which my belongings were handled. These were not just couches, tables, and boxes. They were pieces of a life built over many years, memories collected along the way, and items that hold personal meaning. The team understood that.

When my furniture finally arrived in Durban, I experienced something close to a miracle. Everything was there. Nothing was missing. Nothing was damaged. My furniture had successfully completed its cross-country journey and looked far less exhausted than I felt.

As South Africans, we are often quick to complain when service falls short, but we do not always take enough time to celebrate excellence when we encounter it. This blog is my small way of saying thank you.

Thank you, Intertrans Movers, for your professionalism.

      Thank you for your patience.

Thank you for treating my belongings with care.

Thank you for helping make a major life transition a little less stressful and a lot more manageable.

If you are looking for a moving company that understands that they are not just transporting furniture but helping people move their lives, I can genuinely recommend Intertrans Movers.

And to my couch, dining table, and all the other household items that survived the long journey from Cape Town to Durban without complaint, thank you for your service too. You have earned your rest.

      With gratitude,

      Zintle Khobeni
